Guys and dolls

Fly got a baby doll as a gift.

It's not just a baby doll. It's a boy baby doll. With the right apparatus. And apparently, some hefty piercings.

I hope this doesn't count as p*rn

Fly is a boy, after all, so his baby doll should be a boy too, the gift giver thought. That, and JP would be less likely to object to his son playing with a doll if the doll had a little package.

JP was surprised at first. But when I explained it would give Fly the chance to get used to the idea of having a baby around -- and/or to mimic the fatherly care he receives from JP, his role model -- JP seemed fine with it.

Sometimes, Fly brings out the baby for meals. Or to sit on the couch with him and play.

OK, so Fly has a bit to learn about how babies like to be held.

He seems to have a thing for the baby's feet. I later saw Fly chewing on the baby's toes. But really, who could blame him?

I wanna hold your ... foot?

And even later, I found Fly had shared a meal with the baby.

Hmm, maybe I should take a refresher course on infant choking and CPR.

(The doll is in the baby hammock Fly used to sleep in. We never got around to putting it away.)

Oh how cute! I like it when Elliot takes an interest in dolls when we're at toddler group. It really shows off his sensitive side so I have something to compare to when he kicks his little brother.

We gave one of these to Miss Peach. She had no interest in it. I think it's sweet he shared his sandwich;)

My daughter wants absolutely nothing to do with dolls. NOTHING. My son will cuddle them for about a nano second ... sigh. Fuzzy animals are far more fortunate in our world.

Primo has dolls too - or steals his sister's to throw down the stairs, anyway. Boys. ;-)

That's one freaky looking doll penis!

Seriously, what is up with the testicular decoration on that doll? Are those screws? I can't even imagine why they would have put something THERE.

You have me laughing yet again! That is too adorable. Fly's going to make a sweet big bro. Although, the refresher infant CPR might be a good idea...just in case Fly tries to feed the real baby. :)

Can I say - typical male? He'll make a good dad one day, I'm sure. Now a girl like Esme - she was born rocking babies and singing lullabies...

Okay, first -- I'm sure Fly has always been this cute, but seriously, those blond curls? LOVE THEM! My baby brother had the same gorgeous hair when he was that age (now he has a dark curly mohawk... sigh... 18 year olds), and our friends' 18 month old that we saw today did too, so I guess that's why I'm all the sudden noticing Fly's :]

Anyhow, um, that weiner? And the screws? HAHAHAHA! The people in the factory where that doll is manufactured probably pee themselves laughing every time he comes down the assembly line.

That's quite a doll. Hee.

When I was pregnant the second time, Q-ster would cuddle one of his bears and pretend it was the baby, carefully holding it and rocking it. And then he'd find something else to do and drop the bear unceremoniously on the floor. Oops.

Very cute doll. I don't I've ever seen one that came complete with package and piercings.

It's a good idea to have a little boy get use to the idea of a baby with caring for his own.

I didn't know they made such dolls.

And how cute is that, Fly sharing his food with the baby!

And oh,by the way, I'm pretty sure my word verification for my previous comment was some profane Klingon remark. The one for this comment sounds like a tropical island in paradise. "baili." lol!

So freaking cute! Isabella started pretending to nurse her doll. I wonder if Fly will do that once your new one arrives.

And holy cow-Fly looks SO grown-up in these photos. When did that happen? I think it's all that adorable hair.

We bought my oldest a boy doll when we found out we were expecting. Once we knew it was going to be a boy we wanted one that was anatomically correct, but I could not find one locally and the online ones were too pricey for me. We found one that was good and gave it to him just before we did the big brother/sister class at our local hospital. It was too cute watching him hold the baby and naming him.

Thank you for posting this! I was looking at getting this doll for my daughter and one of the comments about the sensors' positions made me wonder why she was flipping out. Frankly, that cracks me up. I also wondered if the doll was clearly intact or circumcised (seems to vary by doll) and am glad to see it's neither clearly. Don't want to explain when baby brother comes along why they don't match ;) At least this is doll-like enough that there shouldn't be any questions about that. Because baby brother isn't coming with holes all over his tummy! LMAO! OR piercings!!
