Blog Party and first-ever Growing A Life giveaway!

Hey! Glad you could make it to the blog party! Make yourself at home. Grab yourself something to eat or drink over there. Then go and mingle! Have some fun! I tried to clean up around here, but whatever you do, do not open the last door in the hallway, next to the laundry room....

Yes, today's the first day of the Ultimate Blog Party. Meet new bloggers. Endure Be fascinated by new blog posts by moi every day. Win prizes!

The Ultimate Blog Party is organized by 5 Minutes for Mom. I didn't know much about this site before hearing about the party, but what the hey. That's what parties are for. They have a great system for giving away prizes on the last day of the party, so be sure to sign up and win.

Win!

Because they apparently don't have very high standards, they said even I could give away a prize. So I am! You could win a customized springtime onesie or T-shirt for your little one (size 3 months on through to about 25 pounds). And who knows -- if someone leaves a comment that makes me laugh so hard that I wake up Flybaby, I just might give away a second prize.

Er, wait -- is that rewarding someone for bad behavior?

And I don't usually say anything very funny... I am more like the person that will trip and fall and make you laugh, you know that kinda thing... but if I win your cute little spring t-shirt I will totally take a picture of my little guy in it and make sure everyone that reads my blog knows where I got it... does bribery work with you? wink wink ; )

I want to win because after Z was born I convinced myself that 1) she would be an only child because damn this mommy thing was hard and 2) if I ever changed my mind, baby #2 would be a summer baby since I wasn't about to waste another maternity leave on a Chicago winter.

Net net, I'm pregnant with a summer baby and, while it'll be another girl, I won't be able to get her into hand-me-downs for a few months. Did I mention I donated all my 0-6 month outfits? Well, they were for winter anyway...

Popping in for the party! Interesting about Danny's Song. And too funny about the thieves not wanting your stuff after they went to all the trouble to cut the lock off! Does that mean, in order to keep your valuables safe, you should fill your house with junk?? Works for us. ;-)

I have fun exploding bubbles over at my Party, womanwithmanyhats.com (not my Blogger ID). Flybaby would like them, and he's still too young to imitate them so it should be safe.

oooh... a party favor for my kiddo? that would be great. i have to be unoriginal and say that your design is great! my baby girl wouldn't be as patient as yours - i think she'd make some serious noise if i tried watering her like that. she likes her bath and all, but a watering can? not so much.

Hi. I came by for the party. It is nice to meet you. My children are grown (23 & 21). What book did you write? I love to write also and blogging has helped to hone by craft.

Oh, I have one of those closets in my house too... I'd organize it, but it might be easier to just set off a nuke (just a small one and I'll make sure that the cat and the family are out of the house at the time.)

Thanks for the invite to your place. You seem fun and down to earth - my kind of people!
