Colors Mother Nature didn't intend

Stephanie at Adventures in Babywearing posted about her blue hair, so I thought I should post about my pink hair.

(That green stuff behind my head isn't a funky hair accessory. Just so you know.)

When I was still pregnant with Fly, I had pink streaks too.

A friend's husband asked me why I had pink hair, and I told him because the purple didn't look good on me.

But really, to be honest: the pink hair is just a couple of clip-on extensions. I'm really loving it, though, so maybe next time I see my stylist, I'll make it permanent.

Am I a hippie-chick mama, or am I waaaaay too old for this?!

I like it and you are definitely not too old for pink hair.

Definitely not too old. I love the pink. In fact, I just did my hair black so that I could have pink streaks :) I haven't added them yet though, I'll have to look for the extensions that you have.

Bless you both! I should add the extensions are real hair.

Awesome. I was considering a blue streak. I like blue. It'll be perfect for football this fall!

No too old. No, no, no.

I can't wait until I shrink two more smidgeons and I can go back to my lime green pants and other shocking color choices...clothes, not hair. I am too lazy about getting to the salon to keep a "look" up.

Yeah, Steph, it's cool, it's real hair! I got them at a kiosk in the mall near me.

they make pink extensions??? I am all over it. I've never been brave enough to do any permanent pink or purple, but clip ons would be so RAD!

I love it!

So speaks a gal who has an entire box of wigs in bright hues, but has never been brave enough to dye her real hair.

i used to manic panic magenta highlights in my hair. Since having babies though my hair had darkened significantly and I am so not willing to try and bleach it to dye the magenta streaks back

Never too old! I've always wanted to do something like that but didn't have the guts. Even if you do it for real, you can always color it back if you don't like it. Take the plunge!

I think this is the first time I've seen an "up-close" shot of you. You're so pretty and I think the pink is kind of cool...

I love it !! I think i'd like to have a bit of a pink streak too - one good thing about ditching the corporate office to be a mum :)

I say live it up while you can - never too old .. imagine how cool you'd be if you were a Granny ?!!

If you're having fun with it, you're never too old! I say do crazy fun stuff with your hair while you do have hair.

I just got my hair cut, and I specifically told my stylist I didn't want a mom cut. I may have a kid, but I don't want to look like I drive the mini van than might someday be in my future. So, my opinion? I LOVE the pink.
