Ugh.

If your second trimester is supposed to be your energetic trimester, then I am doomed once the home stretch arrives in a couple weeks.

I'm just so tired lately that I often don't even want to think about doing anything. I keep going, though, mostly for Fly's sake, and also because I hope Newton's Law of Motion with all that stuff about inertia applies to pregnant women. You know, bodies in motion tend to stay in motion and all that. Because this body just wants to lie down or sit at every opportunity.

It's also hard when like a fourth of your weight is sticking out in front of you and seems to double every week or so, and you feel like your stomach is going to split open if you just move the wrong way.

I know all of this isn't anything generations of pregnant women haven't endured as well. I just feel like whining, I guess. Forgive me.

And now I feel like going back to resting....

I feel like going back to resting, and I'm not even pg. I say GO FOR IT. If you feel tired, you probably NEED the rest.

Since the first trimester is soooooooooooooooo sleep inducing, the second just looks energetic in comparison. It doesn't actually feel that way though. Hope you get some rest!!

Oh, I was right there with you. I was so much more exhausted with my second pregnancy than my first. I just wanted to sleep or rest all of the time. Maybe having a 2-year-old had something to do with that... ;)

Listen to your body, and get all the rest you possibly can. Once that little one comes out and you're caring for him/her AND chasing after Fly at the same time, you're going to wish you spent weeks in bed!

I never had the second trimester energy. My uterine passenger sucked all of the get up and go out of me. Just keep your eye on the prize, 91 days to go!!

You are growing a beautiful baby in there, take the time to rest, whine and take it easy ... you are almost in the home stretch!

I remember the 2nd pregnancy I had. I was so tired because I was taking care of a 2 year old. I say cut yourself some slack and get some rest. You're doing great and if your friends can't reassure you - then what good are we?

Well... I say you might as well rest now because if a few months you won't have that chance :-)

Rest, rest, rest if you can!

My second pregnancy was also exhausting. I started feeling better just in time to move into our new house and then give birth. Whew.

Hope your energy come back soon!

Rest if/when you can. Honestly I don't think any trimester is particularly energetic.

Rest while you can get it! I think I spent most of my last month while pregnant with Harry laying on the couch. Poor Evan spent a lot of time playing by himself since it was so hard for me to get on the floor with him to play. At least this time around they can entertain each other.

That is exactly how I felt during my second pregnancy. I swear it started vanishing the DAY I gave birth. Isn't that a strange time to feel energy coming back? Good luck!
