This is my 300th post!!!
And yet I feel so blog blah.
I think the big 3-0-0 is what has made me so blah. I couldn't think of one darn thing to make it special. So I went into denial.
Me? I have a blog? No I don't. Oh, I have two? So what?
All those 80 mom blogs on my blogroll I haven't read in a week and a half?
That's what gets me.
I miss you. I miss you all!
I just don't have an hour a day anymore to read everyone's clever, touching, tender, angsty, inspiring, LOLy, cute-baby-photo-filled posts. And I miss that.
Flybaby started crawling for real yesterday at about 5:59 pm EST. (That's a little joke for my friend Star -- our mutual friend with a baby 2.5 months older than Fly marks down the exact time her little boy does things.) He loves making a dive for the cats. He loves making a dive for the glowing computer tower button. He loves inspecting the electrical outlets, or any electrical cord to anything. He enjoys playing with parts from my sewing machine. He wants to chew on pens filled with ink.
Toys? Who needs 'em? I think he'd prefer playing with a blender or maybe a chainsaw.
Combine an into-everything crawling baby with a child who naps only once a day (yesterday, he wouldn't sleep and was awake from 11 a.m. until 9:30 pm), and you have one freaked-out mama with serious blog envy.
Or blog blah.

yep, it gets harder and harder. i love what i read, and i love the web of conversation and semi-community that commenting and feedback brings...but i'm not sure whether the pace many of us have set for ourselves is reasonable.
i'd rather a few posts now and then, and the occasional genuine comment, than see everyone suffer blog burnout.
because then i would need a new hobby. :)
congrats on your 300th post, and go gently on yourself. after you come over and ogle MY cute baby pictures, of course.
I have bloglines-- which lets me know when someone has updated their blog-- and then VOILA--I pop over to read it. It saves me time from going through my blog roll seeing if anyone posted. :) Happy 300th!
300!! Way to go!!! We should have a party!! Perhaps this is worthy of a COld Stone run?? (Of course, I'll bring half of mine home. LOL!)
Thanks for finding the time to explain what's up. I was wondering why you hadn't posted in a while.
I work full time (not that that's here or there), and my kids are older (22, 19, 16), but I still don't know where I'd find time to blog, even though I'd sort of like to. Reading (and commenting on) fewer blogs and message boards would give me more time do do my own blog, but would I really be that interesting? And who would I have to stop keeping up with to make the time to blog?
And yeah, once they get mobile like that, you can't turn your head for a second! But you'll eventually find a few "tricks" that give you a little time here and there. Plus, the more active he is, the more likely he'll get tired enough at night to sleep--and they you can become a late-night blogger (which seems to be when my sister*, mom to 18 month-old Max) does a lot of her blogging.

Tie him down! Just kidding. I am glad that both kids are still nappers. I think I would go insane if they didn't.
i've had the blahs too: nothing to write ! Just petty whinges that bore even me !!
Crawling is a hectic age, and they love it so much :)
Congrats on the 300th ! :)
It is a hard balance. I struggle now with two wee ones striving for my attention! Bloglines totally helps!
Congrats on 300~
m -cool thing bloglines...that would help reading all the posts easier.
You do a great job with your blog. I enjoy reading your posts. I sometimes feel like I've got nothing left to say and then it hits me- another idea.
300 posts - well Congratulations taht's great.
Times get so busy, and hard to keep up. I do ok catching up on things at work - but if I'm busy, then I don't always get to visit and comment.
Congrats on 300 posts!
I SO understand!! My Bethy is ...very busy. And, therefore, so am I.
Congrats!! You ROCK!!
Congrats on 300 posts. That's incredible. And yeah, I have no time for blogging (or reading blogs) much anymore either, and I so miss it. If there were only 4 more hours in every day, life would be so much easier, huh?
And Fly's crawling? Yay!
Congratulations on your 300th post!
What is with the diving? My daughter, who is just about Fly's age, does that too. Chock full o' strength, lacking a bit on the common sense. You have to love active babies.
