Things I never thought I'd say
Fly, where did you get that little piece of wallpaper?
Gah! Stop playing in the toilet!
I can't put your diaper on with your butt up in the air like that.
You just bit a chunk out of your potty seat!
The cat doesn't like it when you pour things on her.
We can't play with this really noisy toy right now because it's sleeping.
And finally . . . .
What did I come into this room for?

So funny! I might add...
* Do you need to hold my hand while you go poop?
* Is that [paper/part of your book/etc.] in your mouth?
* Spit it out into mama's hand.
Hahahahaha!
Thanks for the chuckle...
I wish I could say I don't know what you are talking about, but it's all too familiar!
Fly is training already? That's awesome! How is it going??
haha...SOOOO true! I could add a dozen more weird things I've said since Tate was born too...ha! But that last one...yeah, I think I do that at LEAST once a day - usually more!
My personal favorite is "Don't drive cars on the Christmas tree."
Fly is *not* potty training right now, but we have a potty for him to get him comfortable sitting on it.
Actually it's potty #2 because the first one, yes, has a foam seat that he likes to eat.
That is hilarious. Leave it to you to give me a good laugh out loud chuckle. Now you know you must keep all these things together and write a book one day.
Oh that last one. I say that at least 14 times a day.
how about, "Stop stealing your brother's imaginary friends!"
good times.
:) I hear ya!
TJMaxx :)
I love those comments. I have two boys...four and two I am often stunning at things I say, however, how fun to see life through their eyes.
You have a great blog. I am so glad you are part of the giveaway so that I could have a smile tonight :)

I can totally relate to some of these things you've said. One that I hopefully won't have to say is What did I come to this store for?? I'll look down at that TJ Maxx gift card and remember...ah yes, something for me.
I enjoy your posts, and this one is one of my faves so far...mostly b/c I've actually said some of these...some during a TJMaxx ;) shopping trip!Oh, oh, ...here's one: "Please get out of the dryer." Hahahaha!!
so many times I say things that sound just like my mother that I thought I would never say. Like "I havent seen you in 30 years"
TJMax
Hilarious! Fun post.
PS: I would really like a tj maxx gift card so I can go on a mini shopping spree. :)

The line about the noisy toy sleeping is sheer genius!!! I wish I had thought of that when my kids were little. I would love to be entered in your TJ Maxx drawing.

I think Moms everywhere can relate! Grab a coffee and head to TJ Maxx for some no-kid time! :) Thanks for hosting!
I can totally relate...I never though TJ Maxx I would have to clean poop out of a register vent, but I did just that last week! Thanks!
He bit a chunk out of his potty seat? That is too funny! Perhaps you can find a new one at TJ Maxx. :)
i have yet to say any of this, (my daughter is only 3 months) but someday...

"Stop playing in the toilet!" has been one of our favorites around here lately and if I didn't ask myself "What did I come in this room for?" so often maybe I would remember to keep the toilet seat down! The joys of Motherhood! LOL!

P.S. I love me some TJ Maxx! :)
Oh yes, there are many things I have found myself saying that I never thought I would...like, "We don't put toys in our sister's pants". Silly things like that!
My favorite was when I had a potty training 2 year old, a 6 month old in the sling and we were at TJ MAXX (true story here) and he had to pee. So, I took him to the bathroom, stood there (with the baby practically falling out of the sling) holding him up to pee just for him to say, I don't have to go any more. Oh yeah, and it was in December, we were all sorts of bundled up. So, as soon as we leave the bathroom and go to the car, he pees. So, I then said, "Remember, we potty on the toilet, not in our car seats!".
The joys of Motherhood huh?
I completely understand. My daily conversations of "Don't chew on the dog toys", "We don't eat dog food", "what did you just put in your mouth", are getting quite odd. I did stop by for the TJ Maxx giveaway but I will come back.
I say things all the time that make me just shake my head...like when I told my girlie, "Don't bite the kitty!"
TJ Maxx! Please? :-)
I was a nanny for a couple of years and one day I was talking to my sister and saw one of the kids brushing the ceiling with a broom, I yelled, "Miriam, get that off the ceiling" My sister thought it was SO funny!
T.J. MAXX (hee hee!)
I am stealing the sleeping toy comment TODAY!
T.J. Maxx
Oh my, those are too funny! Thanks for the good laugh. T.J. Maxx
P.S. Love the idea of having people leave comments throughout the blog. Have a great day! :)
I have used that one too - We can't play with this really noisy toy right now because it's sleeping! Thanks for the TJ Maxx card and the laughs
I am right there with you on this! Been there, done that! LOL! Isn't it funny when you hear yourself saying things your Mother said to you when you were little! LOL!
Oh, yeah...TJ Maxx is the best place to shop! Would love to win a gift card one day to shop there! Thanks so much for doing this!

I can never remember what I go into a room for, and it happens to me also when I go to TJ Maxx as well. I go in looking for a pair of jeans and come out 2 hours later with 14 items and no jeans!! I love that place and can spend hours in there. Enter me please.
LOL - I love when kids make you wonder how in the heck you said something. Thanks for sharing and making me smile.
I really am glad I found your blog . . . TJ Maxx ;)

This one is my personal favorite -
"Did you wipe? Let me check your butt!"
Yeah, I went to college for that!
I need that TJ Maxx card; they just opened a new store right down the road!
How about:
"Don't put that up your nose!"
Motherhood. Heh.
TJMaxx!
lol, those are too funny. I've had some good ones too, but I'm having a brain fart and can't remember any. I guess I don't do well under pressure.
Re: above comment. Oh man, I forgot to put TJ Maxx in my post. I think I need a nap.
Sounds familiar! (TJ Maxx)
Sounds like something I heard last week at TJ Maxx!

Oh my word! I have said some of those things, but taking a bite out of the potty seat? That beats any of my kids' things! LOL And I have some pretty amazing stories to tell about my kids, like stuffing poop in my Kirby vaccuum attachments or putting poop statuettes on my stairs for decoration.
Awesome!
Maybe I should regift the gift card to TJ Maxx back to you so you can get a new potty seat, lol.
I just told my son to stop driving his trains on the dog. Toddlers! :)
