I think too that comments tend to go in cycles, a new visitor to the blog might comment a lot at first but then as they're more at home they comment less. I see it pretty regularly with me at least, noticing a new person and then they settle down into lurking eventually.
Oh and I meant to say thanks so much for answering my questions--I've always admired you and your blog since the day I first found you. It's been so fun to watch Fly grow through your pictures and posts.
